Training courses/internships

Presentation

To comply with its missions for teaching and training, the Plant Pathology research unit welcomes undergraduate interns and doctoral students from French and international universities.

Our scientists teach at several French universities, and particularly in the Southeast.

In 2008-2009 our scientists taught courses in the following programs:

Université de Lyon: Phytoressources
Montpellier 2: Systèmes microbiens, Biodiversité et Interactions Microbiennes et Parasitaires
Avignon: Hydrogéologie sol et environnement, Biologie et environnement des plantes cultivées méditerranéennes, Gestion de la qualité des productions végétales

The unit is officially part of two doctoral training programs.

Systèmes Intégrés en Biologie, Agronomie, Géosciences, Hydrosciences, Environnement  à l’université de Montpellier 2
( SIBAGHE)
Sciences de la vie et de la santé à l’université  de Aix-Marseille
( EDSVS)

Student support services

Requests for information about internships should be sending to:

Claudine.Laurent@avignon.inra.fr
Unité de Pathologie Végétale
INRA Avignon
BP 94
Domaine St Maurice
F84143 Montfavet cedex

For all interns, an agreement must be signed between INRA, the student and its teaching institute. A small honorarium is given to some interns depending on the duration of their internship and the level of their diplomas.

The INRA-Avignon centre has about 15 dormitory rooms that we rent at a modest price (about 40 € per week). To rent a room, the student must have renter’s civil liability insurance (this can be obtained upon arrival here if the student does not have it already). For lunches, the INRA-Avignon centre has a company restaurant located at about 4 km from our research unit (INRA provides bus service). INRA subsidises a part of the cost of lunches for interns.
